Frequently Asked Questions
How long have you been in business? I've provided home management services since 2001, daily money management services since 2007, and fiduciary services since 2009.
What kind of training do you have? There are no educational requirements to be a fiduciary but I did complete Volunteer of America’s guardianship/conservatorship training. Administrative skills gained working in financial services firms have been most helpful in being able to handle clients’ affairs and understand their investments. Attention to detail and organizational abilities along with integrity, reliability, thoughtfulness, and tenacity are essential to doing the work of a fiduciary.
Are you licensed, insured, and bonded? MN does not have licensing requirements for fiduciaries. I have passed a Hennepin County background check, have professional fiduciary insurance, and am bondable.
What do you charge for your services? Typically $90-100 per hour.
The MN Attorney General’s Office has an excellent guide to planning for the future:
"Lori is particularly adept at working with older adults, almost seems to have a 'calling.' Her personal characteristics are impeccable. She is dedicated to the well-being of her clients, is of the highest integrity, and discreet.”
- Donna, DMM Client
"Lori is a professional that I know could benefit so many seniors out there. When we met I seriously underestimated her skills. She recently restored back pension and other benefit payments for a client who had worked most of his life overseas. I have experience working with various bureaucratic offices in the U.S. and know how difficult it can be. However, not only did Lori somehow get this done on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, but they spoke another language! If you have a friend or client that could benefit from some help with managing their bills, to filing tax returns, or even complex issues, contact Lori. She truly cares for her clients, and sometimes even performs near miracles.”
